The Australian Business Awards

The Australian Business Awards recognise organisations that demonstrate the core values of business and product excellence, sustainability and commercial success in their respective industries.

In 2009, HomeStart was selected from more than 900 entrants to receive two Australian Business Awards in the categories of Community Contribution and Recommended Employer, the second time HomeStart has been awarded in these categories.

Community Contribution Award

HomeStart received a Community Contribution Award for the many ways we give back to the South Australian community, while working towards our purpose of making home ownership possible. This includes our involvement in Brahma Green – an affordable housing development with Salisbury Council and McCracken Homes, along with our free home buying seminars, support of the Property Locator website and many community sponsorships.

Recommended Employer Award

HomeStart received a Recommended Employer award for the wide-range of benefits and initiatives we offer to motivate and engage our staff, to help us retain a highly skilled workforce. This includes flexible working arrangements, a commitment to continuous learning, opportunities for career development, an onsite family and carer’s room and a consultative working environment.
