HomeStart
- HomeStart was created by the South Australian Government in 1989, as a response to high interest rates and a lack of affordable home loan finance options
- HomeStart was established as a statutory corporation under the Housing and Urban Development (Administrative Arrangements) Act 1995 and reports to the Minister for Housing, the Hon Patrick Conlan MP
- Since 1989, HomeStart has assisted over 61,000 South Australian households into home ownership and advanced $5.24 billion in new home loans
- HomeStart provides affordable housing solutions in South Australia, through innovative loan products such as the Breakthrough Loan which can help boost borrowing power, without increasing repayments under a shared appreciation arrangement with HomeStart
- HomeStart employs approximately 100 staff
- HomeStart's headquarters are in Adelaide, with another office in Whyalla

HomeStart initiatives
- Home buyers' seminars - HomeStart conducts home buyers' seminars providing valuable information and insights into the steps involved in buying a property. We run general home buyers' seminars, as well as seminars aimed at specific groups
- Property Locator website – created in conjunction with Housing SA, Property Locator lists affordable homes from private developers and builders, as well as Housing SA properties currently on the market
- Community Lending Team - HomeStart's Community Lending Team can provide debt finance to not-for-profit organisations to increase the supply of affordable rental housing in South Australia
- Brahma Green – a joint initiative between HomeStart, the City of Salisbury and McCracken Homes, which was designed to provide affordable, eco-friendly properties for eligible first home buyers who live or work in the Salisbury area
- StartDreams.com.au – a free money management website that helps people learn how to budget and save efficiently to achieve their financial dream
